One of our local legend Aussie Wigglers suggested a great way to store your Neutral Labs plug in cards, so we helped to bring this idea to life and have made the gerber files available below for FREE download if you’d like to make some in your location.
There is provision for up to 10 cards or accessories to be stored. This lets your store a full set of NUTS & PETS cards along with a couple of passive electronics, LEDS, LDRS you might also be using with your ELMYRA 2 or SCRAT.
This is my selection of a mix of drum sounds from the Alesis S4+ through the Earthling Designs Gliss Drive to add increasing grit to the sounds. I’ve also added a couple of crunchy chords and evolving sounds from the S4+. I’d love to hear your feedback, and what other sample ideas you might have. If you make something with these samples, please tag Elk Elektronik. I’d love to hear your creations!
This Polyrhythm Generator and the Sample Cruncher below are some Pure Data (pd) patches I’ve worked on. You might like to experiment with these patches or include more features such as controllable note values on the Polyrhythm generators. There are 2 versions, 1 which triggers sounds internally, and the other can send patterns via MIDI. If you are unfamiliar with pd, follow the link below to download pd and explore it!
My Sample Cruncher is a unique tool for manipulating samples. You can load your own samples in via the user interface and crunch them up for interesting effect. I’d love to hear what you come up with!
A DIY DC/DC Converter with Eurorack compatible input and provision for a DC Barrel Jack Output. Elk Elektronik has produced a PCB for adapting a generic DC/DC power supply.
We’ve now made the PCB gerber files freely available here.
You’ll need to source your own components and generic DC/DC converter for use with this board.
This is a little mono block amplifier for the TDA2030 integrated 18W amplifier. This can also be used with the TDA2050 with some minor modifications. There is provision for terminal blocks for power, input and output directly to an 8ohm speaker. You will need to provide any level control or tone shaping before the power amp.
Please note: C1 is drawn the wrong polarity on the silk screen, so you will need to invert the polarised capacitor in that location.
This is the perfect little companion amplifier for DIY projects like out little talk box!
These button cell adapters are a neat little solution for taking batteries off board if necessary or in the case of the long adapter, providing an alternative solution to install a common CR2032 in place of hard to get batteries.
We’ve designed a top hat adapter PCB for Bourns faders to suit the bottom adaptor board designed by Z3Sound. This opens up a range of options for refurbishing vintage faders (originally by Z3Sound for Jupiter 8, but we have also used these in Roland SH-1) depending on availability of faders.

Sometimes it’s just handy to have your Raspberry Pi power and serial interfaces available on a screw terminal block…
